Basecamp for this three day tour will be in Red Lodge, Montana at the Carbon County Fairgrounds. Book hotel and rental accommodations in Red Lodge or "car" camp at the fairgrounds. City trails are adjacent to the fairgrounds. Fees for camping and a la cart items will be provided at registration when it opens in February. Laid back atmosphere with short and long routes alike to accommodate beginners and those who enjoy "beast-mode" riding. Fall in Red Lodge is gorgeous, we won't talk about the possible adverse weather.
Camping begins Wednesday night, riding begins Thursday, September 16. Choose long or short routes. Final ride on Saturday, September 18 with camping available Saturday night. Preliminary route maps.
As with all events in 2021, we will be closely monitoring the COVID-19 Pandemic situation and operate based on the safety guidelines in place.
Camping at the Fairgrounds is included in registration along with showers. Hotels in Red Lodge are on your own. All accommodations. Packing Lists and additional details will be emailed to all participants after registration. Bike shipping logistics by Bike Flights.
Camping* includes a vehicle and tent space. Vehicles longer than 24' will pay an additional fee for RV reservation at registration. More accommodation partners will be listed here.
*Non-riding kids and families are welcome but kids (under 14) may not be left unattended at any time.
Route food will be provided. Long routes will have increased route snacks and lunch opportunities.
Breakfast will be available at camp Friday and Saturday morning to help get your day started. Dine in Red Lodge for dinner or make your own dinner at camp. We will provide a list of local food options/vendors.
Do not plan on individual campfires to make food. Please plan for small camp burners. Coolers and food will need to be stored in vehicles when not in camp.

Amazing backroads around the foothills of the Beartooth-Absaroka mountains.
All routes are in and around Red Lodge and Carbon County, Montana. Short route stays close to Red Lodge and allows time to do other exploring in the area. The long route on Day 3 will explore Stillwater County, Absarokee and Fishtail.
All routes are subject to change. The roads are open to local traffic, cows, 4-wheelers, deer, bears, dogs and all other users so don't plan to ride closed roads.
If you must cancel a trip due to COVID-19 we will work with you to to refund or transfer 100% of your payment.

Campers can establish a campground Wednesday evening. If you choose to wait until Thursday morning, you'll want to plan to arrive earlier than the start (8 am) or wait until after the ride. First come, first serve. If you are staying in hotels, there will be a designated parking area. There will also be designated areas for campers staying (not driving in and out of the Fairgrounds) and areas for campers that will drive in and out.
